Life skills and basic trades training is essential to the urban and rural Ugandan. We’ve established a 6-month training program where students learn about excelling in the workplace, responsibility and ownership for tools and materials. By committing to the program, honing skills and acquiring a marketable trade, they become better able to support themselves, their families, and to further promote their economy.
The sewing program is already underway and thriving with students learning the basics of sewing, pattern reading, and care of their machines and supplies. Our wonderful sewing instructor is teaching students how to read patterns to make school uniforms in-house for their classmates.
